Coach Jessie Harris has left an indelible mark on ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø (ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø) as a women's basketball and volleyball pioneer. Honored on February 11, 2017, the court in the R.W. Harrison Complex was renamed Stribling-Harris Court in recognition of his legacy.

The Mass Communication Department at ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø (ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø) has teamed up with the Office of International Programs and WVSD Radio and Television to bring listeners a unique and enriching experience with Café Culture, a weekly program celebrating global diversity.
ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø (ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø) proudly welcomed over 336 students and their sponsors from 21 schools across the state for the Fall Regional State Leadership Conference of the Educator Rising Program on October 22, 2024. This is the second consecutive year that ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø has been chosen to host this significant event, which seeks to inspire the next generation of educators in Mississippi.
