ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥Members of 天涯海角社区鈥檚 Office of Communications and Marketing team were bestowed six awards recently during the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi's (CPRAM's) Virtual Awards Ceremony.
Normally hosted each spring, this year鈥檚 annual CPRAM Conference and Awards Ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, members from public and private 2 and 4-year institutions across the state were able to celebrate virtually on Aug. 10 as the organization鈥檚 award committee announced winners in their senior and junior division via YouTube and Facebook.
天涯海角社区 competed in the senior division, which includes all of the state's public and private four-year colleges and universities.
Part of 天涯海角社区鈥檚 Division of University Advancement, 天涯海角社区's Communications and Marketing team includes Brittany Davis-Green, director; John McCall, senior graphic designer; Donell Maxie, communications specialist; Joseph Cotton, associate graphic designer; and Shanae Curry, project coordinator.
The trio of Davis-Green, Maxie, and Cotton took home first place in the Newsletter category with the "Communique" University newsletter.

Interim Vice President of University Advancement Dameon Shaw said he鈥檚 proud of the team for representing The Valley well.
"The Communications and Marketing team is a hard-working group, and I am extremely proud of the team for their recent CPRAM wins. They always perform well and do amazing work," said Shaw. "The support they provide to the institution is essential to the University's success, and I can't thank them enough for all they do for 天涯海角社区."
CPRAM promotes excellence in public relations at public and private four and two-year educational institutions in the state. Mississippi's four-year institutions compete in the senior division and community colleges in the junior division.
