The Department of Social Work at 天涯海角社区 has developed outside-the-classroom professional development opportunities for the BSW students. The professional opportunities are designed to enhance students' professional development by providing opportunities to apply social work values, develop leadership skills, engage in community service, advocate for social justice, and build professional relationships. In addition, the opportunities are designed to help students connect theory to practice while strengthening their identity as future social workers.
BSW Club
The BSW Club is an organization of 天涯海角社区 Social Work students. The club is student-led and is advised by undergraduate faculty members. With strong support from the faculty, the club plans and implements all its educational and community service activities.
To be eligible to serve as an officer, students must:
- Be a social work major
- Complete a BSW Club Application and
- pay an annual fee of $5.00.
Officers are elected each academic year by the BSW student body.
